Visually, everything was so perfect, I didn't take my eyes off the screen once! I'm so happy to see that Katherine Brooks is not afraid to address suicide, since it is so prevalent today, especially in the younger generation and LGBT community.
People need to realize that suicide and feeling alone is something we need to talk about, not a taboo subject that should be swept under the rug.
It was very interesting to see the how thoughts of suicide affect someone and the struggles they have. I have to say Taryn Manning was hands down my favorite in the film.

I thought the main character was only partly believable as a woman with DID; she would have time loss and as she became co-conscious with her alters would have some confusion as to whether they are or aren't real people, but it is unlikely that she'd completely "dream up" a therapist and a whole stint in a psychiatric unit in her head.
That would constitute a complete break with reality, and the whole concept of DID is that it's a defense mechanism preventing a complete break with reality to allow the person to function.
It is also very unlikely that Madison would integrate all on her own without some sort of real professional help.
I know from personal experience that it takes years to do that and specialized techniques, and even then it is likely to re-occur in certain times of high stress throughout one's lifetime.
It takes a hell of a lot longer than 30 days and alot of hard work. Nevertheless this was an entertaining movie. That was why I gave it 3 stars.
Watching this as someone who has DID dissociative identity disorder this is an amazing representation of a very misunderstood and highly stigmatized disorder.
I do think it's important to say that this is a great representation of what it is like for me, but the rest of the world would never see this or have any idea that the inside is often chaos and yelling.
To the rest of the world I am a slightly quirky professional who stays quiet and doesn't rock the boat.
